Parties usually ignore minor rivals. They go after the ones they think are taking their voters. Labor going hard at Hanson says more about One Nation's rise than any single poll number could. You do not unload on someone who is not a threat.
Hanson tends to treat this sort of attention as a free kick. The louder the major parties complain about her, the more her supporters feel she is getting under Canberra's skin. That is the trap of attacking an outsider. Half the time it makes them bigger.
